Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did. --Newt Gingrich

"I'd rather be completely exhausted from the hard times that breed success than well-rested from achieving nothing."

Sound familiar?

Hmmm. . .

Want to be inspired to persevere even when it seems too difficult to bother? Watch this video about Derek Redmond's Olympic performance more than 20 years ago and see how he demonstrated the will to endure, to prove that no challenge was overwhelming enough to deter him from finishing what he started. His indomitable spirit and determination became the real success story that day!

What will be your success story?

Let this be your mantra:

SOCIAL STUDIES

Greek Mythology and
Constellation Lore

For thousands of years, people have associated objects in the sky, the Earth, and aspects of their physical world with the gods and goddesses of their cultures.  *

This week we're going to choose one of the constellations linked to the Greek and Roman pantheons and write a brief description of its associated myth. Then we'll recreate the constellation on art paper to make a striking and educational bulletin board display. Look HERE for more information.
